Conservative Abortion?

This will take some explaining. Conservatives are portrayed in mainstream media as religious zealots, far right fundamentalists, who only belive in ‘life at conception’, but this is merely an attempt to vilify conservatives. Most people on the right are not fundamentalists, they look at religion as a symbolic guideline, a helping hand to being a better person, simple as that. When I was a kid, and first learned about conception, I never thought that it was a child at that point, I thought it was an embryo, and that’s how I see it today. There’s alot of debate about when an embryo becomes a child, and it never seems to get clarified, so let me give it a shot right now. To me, there is an exact moment when this happens, and that moment is when there is brain activity. Medical science can tell you when the brain turns on, however, it can’t tell you HOW it turns on. To me, this is divine intervention, this is when God hands you your soul. This is now it’s own person, and should not be touched. From what I understand, this happens fairly early, six to eight weeks, so there is a pretty small window beforehand for responsible abortion. Aborting after that point is the taking of a soul, and should not be allowed. I think this is reasonable to both sides of the debate, as long as your not in the ‘life at conception’, or the ‘abort whenever you want’ camps. You know, there are still late term abortions allowed in this country………barbaric.
